Advanced Functions

iTunes Replay is a great tool to do the one thing lacking in iTunes
right out of the box, namely, play a track once and stop.

But wait, there's more!

Programming Hot Keys
Menu Functions
Programming External Controller

Hotkeys allow you to program any iTunes selection to a key and trigger
that song with the click of one key. To program a track to a hotkey,
select the track in iTunes, check the 'Program Mode' box in iTunes Replay,
then click the hotkey you want. The hotkey will be labeled with the name
of the selected song. Click the 'Program Mode' box to exit programming.
The next time you click a programmed hotkey, the track will start
playing.

Another great feature with hotkeys is that they are mapped to keys on
your Mac's keyboard. Hotkeys 1-10 are mapped to number keys 1 through 0.
Hotkeys 11 and 12 are mapped to 'Q' and 'W' respectively.

PRO TIP: You can program your hotkeys with the keyboard. Click the
'Program Mode' checkbox, select a track in iTunes, press the key you
want to be mapped. Done!

The button labeled 'clear bank' is used to clear all the programmed hotkey
selections. After pressing, the hotkey buttons will be labeled with numbers
again and you'll have a clean slate.

MENUS:
Open menu (cmd-O): This menu command will load the currently selected
(highlighted) playlist into the hotkey bank. The funtion will load the first 12
tracks in the playlist into the hotkey buttons. If there are more than 12 tracks
in the list, only the first 12 are loaded.

Save menu (cmd-S): This menu command will save the current hotkeys
into the currently selected (highlighted) playlist. This function will delete all
other data from the playlist! Make sure you are selecting the correct playlist
to avoid losing data. Note that the hotkeys are saved into a sequential
iTunes playlist. This means there are no 'empty slots.' If you have tracks
loaded into buttons 1, 3, and 5, you will end up with a playlist with tracks
1, 2, and 3.

Save As menu (shift-cmd-S): Command to save to a new playlist.
A window will open asking for the new playlist name. Enter the name
and a new playlist will be created with the current bank's tracks. iTunes
will allow you to have multiple playlists with the same name. Don't be
surprised if you see this after doing a Save As.

PRO TIP: If you don't want the tracks loaded into consecutive hotkeys, for
instance you want the first two tracks in keys 1 and 2 and the next two tracks
in keys 5 and 6, put place holder tracks (like tone or silence) in the unused
'slots' in the playlist.
